This crockpot looks great in my kitchen; however, even the low setting scorches the sides. It would probably work well if you were serving soup for a large party, but it cooks meat too quickly and dries it out. One of the bumpers on the bottom came off after a few months and I have had to place something under it to keep the pot level. It also seems a little unstable with only three "feet" on the bottom. Not sure how hard it would have been to add a fourth for stability...

The whole point of purchasing a slow cooker, for me, was to start dinner before I left home for work. Alas, though I did not want to believe the reviews (given that the name brand is practically synonymous with slow cookers), they are true: the heating element is tremendously high on this unit.
Twice this week, my food was burned or dried out. Today, I decided to make two more attempts while supervising the process; first, with a green bean casserole, and then with chicken. The green beans I set to low, and after ONE HOUR the edges of the casserole were already drying out and the liquids were bubbling - the recipe was for four hours on low. The latter was set to high and was supposed to cook for three to four hours, but after one hour the edges were burning.
Do yourself a favor and look for a different slow cooker, maybe even one from a different brand. In addition to "simply" ruining your dinner, it can potentially be a safety/fire hazard. I know that I will be returning mine tomorrow!

Great crock pot. Thorough cooking, low, high setting, but also a warm setting makes this great. Inside is non-stick, easy to clean, and outside stainless looks great on counter or on table.
