I have purchased three of these as gifts, and one for myself. They look wonderful and I have had mine for months. Better than sending flowers. Kind of a bit of the tropics right inside your home!

In the first place the ceramic pot containing a beautiful specimen of the beaucarnea was cracked. I mended it successfully within minutes of the package arrival. Within a week, the plant began to wither and lose its once beautiful foliage--I don't think the cracked and mended pot was the cause. I was meticulous about following the watering procedure, but I was baffled by two packages one of which contained marble-type chips, the other a substance which I can't still identify. There were no instructions about their function. A folder sent with the pony tail palm referred to bonsais not a word about what I had ordered.

Amazon was business-perfect and listened patiently to my disappointing experience. I am to receive a refund and am not required to return the once living plant. Caveat emptor when it comes to buying living plants.
